Dermal Fillers

Skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid (HA), which keeps the skin full, hydrated and elastic. Dermal fillers mimic the efforts of HA causing a reduction in facial lines, scars and increased plumpness/volume of skin and lips. It is also commonly used to treat lines caused by sun damage or smoking.

Dermal fillers can be used in;

• Lips
• Cheeks
• Naso-labial area (Nose to mouth lines)
• Marionette lines (Corners of mouth)
• Chin and Jawline

Topical anaesthetic cream is used prior to this treatment to keep discomfort minimal. Results are evident immediately. Swelling, reddening and bruising is common after facial fillers but is temporary (usually subsides within 48 hours).

Fillers can last between 6 months to 1 year depending on the area treated and the product used.
